The worst part of scuba diving in the South Pacific is getting there. Once in Guam, the journey to Saipan was very short, approximately 28 minutes actual flight time. The plane was a larger 737-800 series, not a puddle jumper plane. The crew was very polite and competent. And the trip was as comfortable as can be, since things have changed after 911. Every three years he exchanges the used equipment and buys new equipment. At Axe Murderer's Tours, you always dive not only with modern but also with high-quality equipment. These are two factors that raise the bar for your diving experiences. Jay has a solid understanding of dive sites and tests conditions before entering the water. He will not take you where conditions are not favorable. Annoying to some, but it's a sign of both Jay's confidence and wisdom in a sport where risk-takers don't always survive. Scuba diving is a great sport, don't risk your safety diving with a company that doesn't put your safety first like Jay does! You are likely to see on many dives and night dives: Titan Triggerfish, Napoleon Wrasse, Whitetip Reef Shark, Variety of Parrotfish, Variety of Nudibranch including pure Mariana species, Variety of Eels, and Historical Wartime Debris. Elina offers a variety of signature post-dive cocktails, like their homemade cucumber soda and ginger ale, and for the harder side, try their Horse Feather or Saipan Mule, among others. It's difficult to perfect a mule drink, but the key is in the ginger beer. Elina's is perfect, it's not too sweet or too mild in the ginger flavor. She also has great locally made gifts and bar food like her killer wings with her own locally made sauce from her garden. If you like healthier food, don't miss Elina's mother's restaurant, located in the same building called Everest Kitchen, its Nepalese-inspired food which is both delicious and very healthy.
